Ararat Mirzoyan to Visit Syria Again
On February 23, Armenian Foreign Minister Araarat Mirzoyan will travel to Syria to deliver the third batch of humanitarian aid to the regions affected by the devastating earthquake. This information was provided by Vahan Hunanyan, the press secretary of the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During his visit, Minister Mirzoyan will have meetings with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal al-Miqdad.
It is noteworthy that on February 6 at 05:17, an earthquake occurred in Turkey's Kahramanmaraş province, which led to devastation in several cities. Two more strong earthquakes were recorded at 14:24 and 14:36 Yerevan time. The intensity of the underground shocks in the epicentral zone reached 10-11 points.
The number of casualties from the tremors in Syria has exceeded 8,500. Armenia sent its first humanitarian aid to Syria on February 8, amounting to 30 tons, and on February 14, it was announced that another 25 tons were to be sent.
