Iran Decries Western Silence on Israel's Bombing of Syrian Capital
The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Nasser Kanani, has called the silence of Western countries regarding Israel's repeated violations of Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity "shameful," according to the Mehr news agency.
Kanani strongly condemned the Israeli attack on Damascus and its suburbs, which resulted in the deaths and injuries of several innocent Syrians.
He also deemed the silence of Western nations regarding Israel's violations of Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity shameful.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry representative urged the international community and the Security Council to respond immediately, seriously, and effectively to Israel's aggression in Damascus.
Earlier, Israel carried out airstrikes targeting Damascus and its nearby regions. The bombardment led to the death of 5 people and injured 15 others, including both Syrian soldiers and civilian residents.
It should be noted that Syria has recently suffered from a devastating earthquake.
