The Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs of Canada’s House of Commons has unanimously adopted a resolution condemning Azerbaijan for its blockade of the Lachin corridor. This was reported by the Armenian National Committee of Canada.
The resolution, introduced by MP Stéphane Bergeron, calls on Azerbaijan to immediately open the Lachin corridor, ensure freedom of movement, and refrain from actions that could exacerbate the humanitarian situation.
It was reported that the resolution will be sent to the House of Commons, requesting a response from the government.
Earlier, it became known that on January 25, the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development of Canada’s House of Commons held two separate meetings.
