Rishi Sunak Helps Volunteers Pack Aid for Syria and Turkey
The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Rishi Sunak, met with volunteers on Thursday at a donation center established in the capital of the country to assist victims affected by the powerful earthquakes in both Turkey and Syria.
Sunak spoke with students from University College London (UCL) and assisted them in gathering items at the center, packaging them, and he also donated hats, scarves, and blankets. He stated, “It’s hard to comprehend the scale of the tragedy that has occurred in Turkey and Syria. Almost 20,000 people have lost their lives, and cities have been destroyed. I’m sure everyone has seen images of parents trying to find their children, infants, and toddlers beneath the rubble,” in a video posted on Twitter.
