Russia's Defense Ministry on Resuming Unimpeded Movement Through the Lachin Corridor
The Russian peacekeeping contingent continues to fulfill its tasks in Nagorno-Karabakh. This was stated in a press release by the Russian Defense Ministry.
According to the source, Russian peacekeepers are conducting round-the-clock monitoring at 30 observation posts and controlling the ceasefire regime.
It is noted that the Russian peacekeeping command continues negotiations with both the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides regarding the resumption of unimpeded movement of automotive transport along the Stepanakert-Goris route.
“Two convoys carrying humanitarian cargo have been escorted along the Goris-Stepanakert route. Patrols have been carried out along three routes in the Martakert, Martuni, and Shushi regions. The engineer-sapper units of the Russian peacekeeping contingent continue demining of objects and terrain. During the day, 0.6 hectares of land have been cleared.
To ensure the safety of Russian peacekeepers and prevent possible incidents, continuous cooperation with the General Staffs of the Azerbaijani and Armenian armed forces is being maintained,” the statement said.
