Blinken Offers Israel Military Assistance for Ukraine
The U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken proposed to the Israeli authorities that they provide assistance to Ukraine not only in humanitarian terms but also in military aspects. This was reported by Interfax.
“We discussed with Israel the importance of supporting all of Ukraine’s needs—humanitarian, economic, and security,” Blinken said during a press conference in Jerusalem on Tuesday.
According to the Secretary of State, he also addressed the issue of cooperation between Russia and Iran during his discussions in Israel. Israeli authorities have repeatedly stated that they do not supply and will not supply weapons to Ukraine, including air defense systems, despite requests from the latter. Israel’s assistance is limited to humanitarian support, the transfer of protective equipment, and the provision of ‘life-saving supplies.’
