«Karabakh remains an inseparable part of Azerbaijan and will always be so»: Aliyev distorts facts again
The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has stated that Baku and Yerevan must sign a peace treaty to resolve their relations. Azerbaijani news outlets report this.
“The Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh is over; this conflict has already been resolved. Karabakh remains an inseparable part of Azerbaijan and will always be so,” said the authoritarian leader on Saturday during a joint statement regarding the results of negotiations with the President of Egypt.
According to Aliyev, Azerbaijan has liberated its territory and thus brought peace closer to Armenia.
“The peace treaty that will be signed between Azerbaijan and Armenia will lead to peace. We have made our proposals and still believe that the peace treaty must be signed without fail. Otherwise, the risks in our region may increase,” added the Azerbaijani leader.
