Drunk Driving Suspect Wanted in Moldova Detained in Yerevan

Thanks to operational and investigative measures taken by the criminal investigators of the "Zvartnots" airport line department of the police, a 28-year-old Ion B. was detained in Yerevan on January 27 at 01:40, following the arrival of the Chisinau-Yerevan flight.

He has been wanted since November 22, 2021, by the law enforcement authorities of the Republic of Moldova on charges under Article 264.1, Part 4 of the country’s Criminal Code (Driving under the influence).

The preventive measure applied was signature. The investigative authorities and the prosecutor's office have been informed of his detention.
