If I Were in the Opposition, I Would Demand Suren Papikyan's Resignation: Vilen Gabrielyan
Vilen Gabrielyan, a member of the Civil Contract faction, stated during an interview with Civilnet.am that if he were an opposition MP, he would demand the resignation of Defense Minister Suren Papikyan and the Chief of General Staff. He said, “I think yes, if I were an opposition MP, I would demand Suren Papikyan's resignation. But since I am not an opposition MP, but a member of the Civil Contract faction and a teammate of Suren Papikyan, my role should be to assist Suren Papikyan in these matters from the perspective of systemic reforms. I believe it would not be logical for me to demand Suren Papikyan's resignation at this time.”
Gabrielyan noted that the Armed Forces have numerous issues and his responsibility as a member of parliament is to highlight these problems and find solutions.
