Putin and Erdogan Hold Phone Conversation
This morning, a phone conversation took place between the presidents of Russia and Turkey, Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, according to the Kremlin's press service.
“During the phone call, the parties confirmed their intention for the comprehensive development of bilateral relations. Among the priorities mentioned was cooperation in the energy sector, including the export of natural gas produced in Russia and the establishment of a regional gas hub in Turkey,” stated the Kremlin's announcement.
The Russian side reported that Putin and Erdogan also discussed the situation in Ukraine and the implementation of agreements reached regarding the export of Ukrainian agricultural products.
“In addition, issues concerning the normalization of Turkish-Syrian relations were discussed in the context of the trilateral Russian-Turkish-Syrian consultations initiated by Ankara,” the press service of the Russian President reported.
