Ursula von der Leyen Condemns Israel's Plans

The decision of the Israeli government to announce construction tenders within the framework of the E1 settlement project is unacceptable. We have long opposed this move. It undermines the solution for the establishment of two states, as it divides the West Bank of the Jordan River and violates the territorial integrity of Palestinian lands.

We remain committed to achieving a fair and lasting peace based on the solution of establishing two states.

Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, stated this in a letter.
