‘Fundamental Mistake Means Resignation’: Arestovych Resigns
The advisor to the President of Ukraine's Office, Alexey Arestovych, has submitted his resignation. He announced this on his Facebook page. “I want to set an example of civilized behavior. A fundamental mistake means I am resigning,” he wrote.
It is noteworthy that earlier, Arestovych, an advisor to the head of the President's Office, stated that the remnants of a Russian missile shot down by Ukrainian air defense forces had fallen on a high-rise building in Dnipro. However, later Ukrainian Armed Forces refuted this information, explaining that they lack the necessary weaponry to intercept X-22 missiles, as reported by News.ru.
Arestovych noted that the operation of Ukrainian air defense systems had triggered the tragedy that resulted in several dozen casualties. Ukrainian military had targeted a missile flying over the city, but it fell on a building and exploded. According to the latest reports, 40 people have died, including two children. Another 75 people, including 14 children, have been injured.
Arestovych has been an advisor to the President of Ukraine since December 2020.
