Araarat Mirzoyan and Antonio Guterres Hold a Phone Conversation
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Araarat Mirzoyan, held a phone conversation with the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres.
According to the Armenian Foreign Ministry, Araarat Mirzoyan presented the details of the humanitarian crisis created in Nagorno-Karabakh due to the blockage of the Lachin corridor, emphasizing the necessity for a prompt and effective response from international organizations, particularly the UN.
Minister Mirzoyan highlighted that Azerbaijan is grossly violating the provisions of the trilateral statement of November 9 and the principles of international humanitarian law. In light of the current situation, the Armenian side underscored the importance of dispatching a fact-finding mission to Nagorno-Karabakh and Lachin, as well as ensuring unimpeded humanitarian access to Nagorno-Karabakh for the relevant UN bodies.
