Lavrov and Bayramov Discuss the Situation Around the Lachin Corridor
The head of Russia's Foreign Ministry, Sergey Lavrov, has had a phone conversation with Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister, Jeyhun Bayramov. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
It was noted that the foreign ministers of the two countries discussed several pressing issues on the bilateral and regional agenda. The Russian side emphasized the necessity for the prompt and complete unblocking of traffic along the Lachin corridor, in accordance with the parameters outlined in the trilateral statement made at the highest level on November 9, 2020.
It was also highlighted that comprehensive work should be resumed on the key paths for regulating Armenian-Azerbaijani relations based on the agreements between the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia.
