Documents Found in Biden's Former Office Should Not Have Been Stored There, Says U.S. Attorney General
Documents classified as secret that were discovered in President Joe Biden's former office should not have been kept there, stated U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland.
He recalled that on the evening of October 4, 2022, the head of the National Archives' inspector's office announced the discovery of classified documents at the Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement in Washington.
“This office is not intended for the storage of classified documents,” he said.
Previously, Biden had admitted to holding classified documents in his “personal library” at home.
Furthermore, White House special prosecutor Richard Sauber mentioned that Biden’s attorneys had found new classified documents in the garage of his Wilmington home related to his time in office as Vice President.
The U.S. Department of Justice has appointed a special counsel to investigate the improper storage of classified documents dating back to Biden’s tenure as Vice President.
