Tehran Will Not Accept Any Changes to Borders in the Region, Says Iranian Parliamentary Speaker
In Antalya, Turkey, the speakers of the parliaments of Iran, Turkey, and Azerbaijan met within the framework of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly session. This was reported by ИРНА.
The parties discussed important regional issues. The meeting aimed at developing, deepening, and advancing economic and political relations, as well as solving regional problems.
According to Mehrnews, Iranian Parliamentary Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf stated during his meeting with Azerbaijani counterpart Sahiba Gafarova that Tehran will not accept any changes to geopolitical borders in the Caucasus region.
“We can have good relations with each other in regional and global arenas,” Qalibaf said, also emphasizing that the interference of extraregional countries must not be allowed.
