France Football Federation Contacts Argentina Over Mbappé Insult
France Football Federation chief Noël Le Graët has announced that he sent a letter to the president of the Argentine Football Association regarding the provocative behavior of Argentine players, particularly goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, towards French forward Kylian Mbappé.
In the letter, he states: "I wrote to my colleague at the Argentine Association that I consider all these excesses abnormal in the context of sporting competitions; it is difficult for me to understand them."
It is noteworthy that after the match, a video surfaced showing Martinez declaring a minute of silence in the locker room for Mbappé. The goalkeeper later continued to mock the forward during the championship parade in Buenos Aires. Martinez showcased a puppet with Mbappé's picture, while fans burned a coffin lid depicting the French footballer.
Despite this, after the victorious game, goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez approached Mbappé and offered words of comfort.
