«Fake Peace Is Unwanted by Anyone»: Blinken
The U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken deemed the negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin pointless, stating that fake peace is unwanted by anyone.
“What is Putin doing now? Although he occasionally says that he is open to diplomacy, he is attacking Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure,” Blinken said, adding, “The problem is that he is doing the opposite. Right now, he is inciting the situation. Peace is needed, but it must be just and in accordance with the principles of the UN Charter, and it must be sustainable, as there is no sense in signing a fake peace that will quickly be overturned, and Russia will ignite war again.”
