US Will Continue to Support Ukraine in Territorial Recovery Efforts, Blinken Says
The US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, during a phone call with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, stated that the US will continue to assist Kyiv regarding territorial issues, according to the US State Department's website.
The Secretary reiterated President Joe Biden's words that the United States will always respect Ukraine's internationally recognized borders and will continue to support Ukraine's efforts to regain control over its territory, strengthening its positions through military and diplomatic means.
During the conversation, the US Secretary of State also informed the Ukrainian foreign minister about the US security assistance, including a package worth $1.1 billion as part of the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative, as well as future supplies.
The discussion also covered the supply of Ukrainian grain and ensuring the security of Ukraine's nuclear facilities.
It is noteworthy that on September 30, a ceremony took place in the Kremlin's Grand Palace in the Saint George Hall for signing agreements on the inclusion of four new territories into the Russian Federation. Several countries, including the US, have stated that they do not recognize the results of the referendums and have expanded sanctions against the Russian Federation.
