Russia is so busy with Ukraine that it has no desire or ability to help Armenia: Pallone
U.S. Congressman Frank Pallone has stated that Armenians have felt in recent weeks as if Russia has abandoned them. In an interview with Voice of America, he specifically noted, "They have tried to activate the Security Agreement, but it seems that the Russian side has not provided tangible assistance. They hoped that Russia would prevent Azerbaijan's aggression, which did not happen. I think the Armenian government feels abandoned by Russia and hopes that the U.S. can provide more support, and that is what we are trying to accomplish."
According to the U.S. congressman, Russia is so occupied with Ukraine at this moment that it has neither the desire nor the capacity to assist Armenia.
