Iran's Ambassador in Baku on Becoming a Platform for Negotiations Between Baku and Yerevan
Iran's Ambassador in Baku, Seyyed Abbas Mousavi, has met with the assistant to Azerbaijan's First Vice President. According to IRNA, the meeting involved discussions on the recent developments in bilateral relations, issues concerning the Caucasus region, and the Islamic Republic of Iran's principled positions.
During the meeting, the Iranian Ambassador clarified Tehran's stance on the inviolability of internationally recognized borders and the necessity of avoiding geopolitical changes that contradict Iran's vital and long-term interests in the region. He also expressed Iran's readiness to become a platform for negotiations between Baku and Yerevan.
Mousavi emphasized that Tehran is prepared to provide a venue for bilateral and trilateral meetings, as well as for the conduct of the “3+3” regional initiative.
