Zelensky: Ukraine Ready to Buy Missiles for Patriot Systems

Ukraine needs additional missiles for the Patriot air defense systems that can be provided by partners, and Kyiv is ready to purchase them. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

“Missiles for the Patriot are needed, and this can only be ensured by our partners. We are conveying at all levels both our need and the fact that we know our partners can meet that need. This is not about gifts; Ukraine is ready to buy weapons,” Zelensky said in his evening address on Thursday.

According to him, this requires relevant political decisions from partners, primarily from the United States.

Zelensky also reported that as a result of a Russian strike, 16 people have died and about 50 others have been injured. Over 200 objects have been damaged, including 86 residential buildings, a children's hospital, and social infrastructure facilities.

“We will definitely respond to this Russian strike, as we respond to every such blow. The response will be just and long-range,” the President of Ukraine declared.
