Russia Will Not Participate in the 'Junior Eurovision' Competition in Yerevan
Russia will not participate in the "Junior Eurovision" song contest to be held in Yerevan. This information was reported by TASS.
It has been noted that the Academy will not accept applications for national selection to participate in the "Junior Eurovision" international contest scheduled for 2022.
This decision was made following the withdrawal of the Russian First Channel, the Ostankino radio station, and the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (VGTRK) from the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).
The withdrawal of these organizations is related to the EBU’s decision to exclude Russia from the Eurovision music contest in 2022.
It is worth mentioning that this year's competition will take place in Armenia, as the country’s representative, Malena, won the "Junior Eurovision 2021" last year.
