Tonoyan's Legal Team Issues Statement
David Tonoyan's legal team has issued a statement: "The legal team of David Tonoyan, based on Article 6(1) of the European Convention on Human Rights and the provisions of Article 16 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia, will request that the court session scheduled for today at 15:00 be held in open session. This request is made considering that the defense intends to present documents confirming the groundlessness of the charges brought against him, which do not contain any classification, that is, they do not contain any secrets, nor do they pose any risk to national security or public order. Holding this court session in closed mode would unjustifiably restrict the principle of publicity in the trial and infringe upon the interests of justice."
