Medvedev: It Is Wrong to Speak of the Impossibility of Nuclear War
No one wants a nuclear war, and everything must be done to prevent a nuclear collapse on Earth. However, it is wrong to speak of its impossibility, said Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council.
“You see, when they say it’s impossible, because it can never happen, they are always mistaken. Moreover, nuclear weapons have already been used in human history,” he stated in an interview with Al Jazeera, as reported by lenta.ru.
According to Medvedev, “the most important thing is that the decisions made by countries must be taken with a cool head, considering all the realities.”
“No one should forget this. Naturally, no one wants a nuclear war. This is a dead end; it is the end of humanity, and we all need to do everything to ensure that a nuclear collapse on Earth never occurs,” Medvedev said.
