The West Uses Ukraine as a Pretext, Lavrov Says

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has stated that Western countries are attempting to extend their dominance by using the situation in Ukraine as a pretext. He made this announcement during a meeting with Hussein Ibrahim Taha, the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), as reported by TASS.

According to Lavrov, a multipolar world is currently being formed, but Western leaders are trying to prevent this by wanting to extend their supremacy over other regions. He added, "They are trying to mobilize all other countries under their flags, using Ukraine and the situation created around the country as a pretext."

Earlier, Sergey Lavrov arrived in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, as part of a visit to Gulf countries.
