A Good Opportunity to Encourage Armenia to Continue on the European Path: Borel

Relations between Armenia and the European Union are very good, but it is necessary to continue the reform process. This was stated by the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borel.

“This meeting is a good opportunity to encourage Armenia to continue its European path, continuing to work towards achieving all the goals and objectives of the Partnership Agreement,” Borel said, speaking ahead of the Partnership Council meeting.

Regarding Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, the head of European diplomacy stated that the EU would highly appreciate if Armenia and Azerbaijan could reach an agreement. He expressed the opinion that the parties are still far from reaching an agreement.

“But if it happens, the EU will provide any possible support to help implement the agreement,” Borel concluded.
