Ukraine Extends Martial Law, Zelensky Proposes
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky proposed to extend the martial law in the country, which is set to expire on May 24, for an additional 90 days.
This is stated in a draft law submitted by Zelensky to the Verkhovna Rada. “The duration of the martial law in Ukraine is extended from May 25, 2022, at 5:30 AM, for a period of 90 days,” the bill outlines.
Another draft law suggests extending the general mobilization in Ukraine for 90 days starting from May 25.
