Stolen Bust of Komitas Found
On April 21, officers from the Arabkir division of the police's criminal investigation department, led by division head Ervand Nikoyan, carried out extensive operational and investigative work to locate the stolen bust of the renowned composer Komitas. The bust had been installation in the garden of Vahagn Davtyan, located in front of the Arabkir district walls.
According to shamshyan.com, investigators identified that the theft was committed by 32-year-old Narek H. from Aragatsotn province and 29-year-old Hayk G. from Yerevan. Police discovered the bust intact beneath a metal sheet resting on a concrete platform near the garage of a building in the Davitashen 2nd neighborhood.
