Peskov on the Phone Conversations Between Pashinyan and Putin
Russian President Vladimir Putin had telephone conversations with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Thursday and Friday, during which they discussed the situation along the line of contact in Nagorno-Karabakh, reported Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian leader. This information was also confirmed by the Armenian government’s press service.
According to earlier reports, Pashinyan and Putin discussed the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, which has been shaped by the advance of Azerbaijanis in the area under the responsibility of Russian peacekeepers. The discussions included the tense situation that has arisen following the incursion of Azerbaijani units into the area designated for the Russian Federation’s peacekeeping contingent in Nagorno-Karabakh, which Pashinyan characterized as strained.
