A Total War has been Declared Against Russia: Lavrov
A total war has been declared against Russia, with the West openly stating that its goal is to strangle and destroy the Russian economy. This was announced by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during a meeting of the board of the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Support Foundation, as reported by TASS.
According to him, “today we have been declared a real hybrid war—a ‘total war.’ This term, which was used by Nazi Germany, is now being used by many European politicians when discussing what they want to do with the Russian Federation. The goals are not hidden; they are publicly declared—to dismantle, smash, annihilate, and strangle the Russian economy and all of Russia.”
The minister noted that within this ‘illegal sanctions’ framework, it becomes evident that all the values that Western partners promoted to Russia—freedom of speech, market economy, inviolability of private property, presumption of innocence—“have no value.”
“Despite the propaganda that dazzles with the numbers of votes given for the provoking resolutions at the UN, the overwhelming majority of countries outside the historical and collective West do not want to engage in a one-sided game. They are under tremendous pressure,” he stated.
According to the minister, despite this pressure, we should focus not on the ‘provocative propaganda texts’ submitted to the UN by Western countries, but rather on the actual state of trade and economic relations.
