France Ready to Support Yerevan and Baku
In separate phone conversations with the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, the French Foreign Minister informed both of his counterparts that France, also as a co-chair country of the OSCE Minsk Group, is ready to invest efforts to support the negotiation process of a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
The French Foreign Ministry reports that Jean-Yves Le Drian, in talks with Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, emphasized the importance of stability and peace in the South Caucasus and France's readiness to consult with the countries in the region.
Le Drian expressed concern regarding the recent increase in tension on the ground and called for the implementation of all possible measures to reduce it.
