Zelensky Signs New Law Introducing Up to 15 Years of Imprisonment for Cooperation with Russia
President Zelensky has established criminal liability for cooperation with Russia. According to TASS, the law on "Collaborationism" has been signed by the Ukrainian president, as reported by Deputy Speaker of Parliament Kornienko.
The document stipulates penalties of up to 15 years in prison for engaging in collaboration with Russia. Kornienko, representing the "Servant of the People" party, added that the new criminal article could also include Rada deputies who have left the country or have previously held "unpatriotic" political positions.
According to Kornienko, at least 20 deputies of Ukraine's parliament who left the country after the start of the special operation with Russia should be prosecuted for collaboration with Russia. "As for the deputies, there are different figures, and I cannot specify them now; more than 20 people's deputies are not in Ukraine," Kornienko clarified.
