Why Public Transport Works Poorly in the Morning: Mayor Explains

Why does public transport work poorly especially during morning hours, causing people to be late for work and classes? During a session of the Yerevan Council, Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan addressed the issue.

“There are several reasons for this. One is that some routes have been closed, and new buses are set to be operational from April 1, which will alleviate the situation. Secondly, there are traffic jams on the routes servicing these buses, which causes breaks in the intervals between buses. But I assure you that from April 1, three more routes will be added that will operate the new buses,” the Mayor stated.
