NATO Secretary General Makes New Statement
NATO is not a party to the conflict in Ukraine and does not seek war with Russia, but it will increase its presence at the borders of the Russian Federation, said NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
According to him, NATO views reports of fighting around the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant as confirmation of the urgent need for a halt to military operations.
Earlier, it was reported that Russian forces had occupied the territory of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, as stated by the military administration of the region, citing the state nuclear regulatory authority.
“The territory of the Zaporizhzhia NPP has been occupied by the military forces of the Russian Federation. The operational personnel are monitoring the condition of the energy units and ensuring their operation in accordance with the technological regulations for safe operation,” said the agency on its Telegram channel.
