Google Blocks Sputnik, RIA Novosti, and Other Russian News Websites
Google Discover and Google News services have restricted all publications from the Russia Today international information agency. The media group considers this censorship. This was reported by Sputnik.
The Russia Today media group is a collection of information resources that includes the Sputnik international news agency and radio (abroad), RIA Novosti, Prime, InoSMI, Ukraina.ru, Baltnews, and TOK (in Russia).
"Google Discover and Google News have restricted the display of materials from all the agency's resources. We believe that Google's artificial blocking of our materials in the main channels for news distribution is hidden censorship and manipulation of the information agenda," said the media group’s press service.
The Russia Today international media group aims to provide timely coverage of events occurring around the world, presenting various perspectives on key events.
