Map: EU Completely Closes Airspace
The European Union has fully closed its airspace to Russian aircraft. This was announced yesterday by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. According to the TASS agency, she stated, “We are closing EU airspace for Russia. We are imposing a ban on all aircraft owned by Russia, registered in Russia, or controlled by Russia. Those aircraft will not be able to land, fly, or transit through EU territory.”
Von der Leyen indicated that the ban applies to all aircraft, including private jets.
