Zelensky Calls for UN to Recognize Russia’s Actions as Genocide Against Ukrainians
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has urged UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to recognize the actions of the Russian Federation as genocide against the Ukrainian people. The country's leader made this statement on Twitter.
“Depriving the aggressor country of its voting rights in the UN Security Council, classifying the actions and statements of the Russian Federation as genocide against the Ukrainian people, and facilitating the handover of Russian soldiers’ bodies. I spoke about this with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres,” Zelensky emphasized.
