Water Supply in Luhansk Suspended Due to Shelling
Water supply in certain areas of the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) has been suspended due to shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF). Several settlements have also reduced their water supply, as reported on Wednesday by the press service of the state unitary enterprise "Luhansk Vodokanal." This was also covered by TASS.
According to a statement posted on the company's website, "On February 23, damage to the electrical supply system of the 'Aydar' pumping station occurred as a result of shelling, leading to a complete suspension of water supply to the villages in the Slavyanoserbsk district..."
The company clarified that the electric substation supplying electricity to the Krasnoliman and Slavyanoserbsk water pumping stations was also damaged due to the shelling, "resulting in the disconnection of these pumping stations and the forced suspension of water supply for Slavyanoserbsk and Krasny Liman."
