Arman Tsarukyan Promised Title Fight: New Details from UFC

MMA journalist Ariel Helwani has shared new details regarding Arman Tsarukyan's upcoming fight against Mauricio Rua. According to Helwani, it came as a surprise to many that Tsarukyan, who is among the leaders in the UFC rankings, will be facing Rua, who is currently ranked 7th.

“No one expected that Arman would fight against Rua, who occupies the 7th spot in the rankings. According to what I have been told, UFC management has assured Arman that a victory in this matchup will guarantee him a title fight,” said Helwani.

The fight between Tsarukyan and Rua is scheduled to take place on September 19 as part of the UFC 331 event in Los Angeles. It will serve as one of the co-main events of the tournament.

The 29-year-old Armenian fighter currently boasts a series of 5 consecutive victories. In his last match, he defeated Dan Hooker by choke submission.
