Photos: Major Accident in Kotayk Region Claims 5 Lives

On February 20, a severe and tragic car accident occurred in Kotayk region. Around 8:00 PM, vehicles including a BMW X5, Opel, and VAZ-2106 collided near the beginning of Abovyan city, in front of the Dispensary-Tudispensaries on Arzni highway.

According to Shamshyan.com, five individuals died at the scene of the accident. Their bodies were retrieved from the vehicles by rescuers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' Special Rescue Works Implementation Center, specifically the 18th rescue squad led by commander Karen Avetisyan.

The bodies were also removed by the rescuers from the Abovyan fire-rescue squad number 45, under the leadership of group leader Tigran Asatryan.
