I Don't Have a Wife: Ara Martirosyan Speaks About the Driver and Why He Was at the Scene

Today, information was circulated in the media that singer Ara Martirosyan's wife had run over a pedestrian in Yerevan. The singer later addressed the circulating rumors, stating that the news does not correspond to reality. He noted that he has not had a wife for the past four years. As for the woman who hit the pedestrian, Martirosyan added that the driver is his friend and employee.

As previously reported, an accident occurred today, on February 3, in Yerevan. Around 1:50 PM, a 33-year-old resident of Yerevan, Lilit G., driving her Nissan Murano, ran over pedestrian Eliza Y. in front of building 62/3 on the Republic Street. According to Shamshyan.com, the driver is recognized as Ara Martirosyan's wife.

The media wrote that the driver did not flee the scene, but called Yerevan's 1-03 ambulance service and the 9-11 crisis management center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and then assisted the arriving doctors and rescuers in transporting the victim to the number 1 university hospital. Police officers were also present at the scene. The driver underwent a sobriety test and was found to be sober.
