Pashinyan Issues Statement: CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces to Deploy to Kazakhstan

Based on the request of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and due to threats to the national security and sovereignty of Kazakhstan arising from, among other things, external interference, the CSTO Collective Security Council has decided, in accordance with Article 4 of the Collective Security Treaty, to send CSTO collective peacekeeping forces to the Republic of Kazakhstan for a limited period of time to stabilize and normalize the situation in the country.
