Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Yerevan: Mini Cooper Strikes Pedestrian Crossing Unauthorized Area
On December 25, a fatal pedestrian accident occurred in Yerevan. At approximately 19:40, a 23-year-old resident of Yerevan, Narek Egoryan, drove his Mini Cooper and struck a male pedestrian aged between 50 and 55 years, in front of the building at 5 Koryuni Street, near the medical university.
According to Shamshyan.com, the driver did not flee the scene; instead, he called for an ambulance using the emergency number 1-03. The medical team that arrived quickly confirmed the pedestrian's death. Following this, the driver also reported the incident to the police.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident. The driver underwent a sobriety test at the scene and was found to be sober. The police and the investigative department are working to determine the identity of the deceased.
