Five Residents of Stepanakert Kidnap and Assault Martuni Resident, Threatening to Kill Him

Five residents of Stepanakert have kidnapped, assaulted, and threatened to kill a resident of Martuni. This was reported by the Artsakh Ministry of Internal Affairs. On December 3, 2021, around 20:00, residents of Stepanakert E.P., A.A., R.G., L.B., and D.G. forcibly placed B.G., a resident of the village of Taghavard in the Martuni region, into a Mercedes vehicle operated by A.A. They transported him to the auto service point near the "Amrots" restaurant on Naberiejna Street, where they beat B.G. in various parts of his body, causing physical pain and minor injuries that did not qualify as bodily harm.

During the assault, E.P. threatened B.G. with a firearm, indicating a lethal threat.

Following the incident, on December 21, 2021, the Artsakh police initiated a criminal case under paragraph 1 of part 2 of Article 129, part 1 of Article 135, and Article 117 of the Artsakh Criminal Code. An investigation is currently underway.
