Accidents in Gegharkunik Province Due to Black Ice: Injuries Reported

Today, December 24, a serious car accident occurred in Gegharkunik Province due to black ice on the road. At around 12:30 PM, two vehicles, a VAZ 217030 driven by 38-year-old Karen Kh. and a VAZ 21015 driven by 38-year-old Artak A., collided on the 7.5 km stretch of the Sevan-Martuni-Getap highway.

According to Shamshyan.com, both drivers were taken to Sevan Medical Center with injuries.

An investigation is underway regarding the incident.

Another accident occurred around 10:00 AM on the 9.6 km stretch of the Sevan-Tsaghkunk-Zovaber highway, involving a VAZ 2104 driven by 27-year-old Vardan S. and an Opel driven by 33-year-old Artyom M.

As reported by Shamshyan.com, the Opel veered off the road and overturned into a ravine, with driver Artyom M. also being taken to Sevan Medical Center for injuries. An investigation is also being conducted regarding this incident.
