Conscription Soldier Dies Due to Azerbaijani Gunfire, Ministry of Defense Provides Details
On November 22, at approximately 18:10, units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire with small arms of various calibers towards the Armenian positions located in the vicinity of the village of Norabak in the Gegharkunik region along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. As a result, a conscription soldier from the Armenian Ministry of Defense's military unit, Private Suren Yuriki Safaryan (born in 2002), sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia shares the heavy sorrow of this loss and expresses its support to Suren Safaryan's family members, relatives, and fellow servicemen. By 19:30, the exchange of fire had ceased.
