CSTO Begins Preparations for Exercises Near Tajik-Afghan Border

The preparation for military exercises of the CSTO collective forces has begun, which will take place in the coming months near the Tajik-Afghan border. This was announced by the Secretary General of the CSTO, Stanislav Zas, as reported by Armenpress.

“The immediate preparation for the military exercises of the CSTO collective forces has already begun and will take place in the coming months near the Tajik-Afghan border,” Zas stated in a comment published by the organization’s press service.

The information about the preparations for the exercises comes amid a significant escalation of the situation in Afghanistan, which has come under the control of the Taliban movement.
