Azerbaijan Provokes Gunfire in the Border Area of Verin Shorja Village, Gegharkunik Province
Azerbaijan has provoked gunfire in the border area of Verin Shorja village in Gegharkunik Province. In response to a question from Armenpress, Colonel Samvel Asatryan, head of the information department of the Armed Forces General Staff, commented on reports indicating that gunfire had occurred between Armenian and Azerbaijani servicemen along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border.
“Azerbaijani troops themselves have provoked the gunfire. The Armenian side has one serviceman with a light injury. According to our information, the Azerbaijani side has two injured servicemen,” Asatryan noted.
