Breaking: Nikol Pashinyan Resigns
In order to implement the decision to hold extraordinary parliamentary elections on June 20, I am resigning from the position of Prime Minister of Armenia, stated Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in a message to the Armenian people.
"During this time, I will continue to perform the duties of the Prime Minister of Armenia to the full extent provided by law and the constitution. I deemed it important for the resignation to take place today, on Citizen's Day. This is an important symbol that we are returning the power we received from the citizens back to the citizens, so that they can decide the future of power through free and fair elections," Pashinyan announced.
